Objectives

• Pursuant to what is prescribed by Legislative Decree No. 2/2012 regarding "Training of Special Education Teachers," the aim is to:

  • Provide the updating and deepening of knowledge and skills in Special Education;
  • Equip specialists with specific methods, techniques, and specialized materials that enable the development of academic, socio-emotional, and behavioral skills of students with special educational needs, to maximize their success in school, family, and community contexts;
  • Equip professionals with technical-pedagogical skills for direct work with people with disabilities and special educational needs;
  • Contribute to the improvement of communication skills, teamwork, and adaptation to new technologies, within the framework of lifelong learning;
  • Promote the conducting of research in this field;
  • Develop different theoretical-methodological approaches that meet the needs of special educational needs.

Entry profile

The course is primarily aimed at Early Childhood Educators and Teachers of Basic, Secondary, and Higher Education. In addition to these professionals, the course also serves other educational agents, such as psychologists, sociologists, lawyers, social service technicians, educational assistants, etc.
